Frequently Asked Questions

QHow much will a website cost me?

A
At 83 Oranges, we offer requirement based affordable packages. The exact cost however varies with the specific features and scope of the project.

QWhat is CMS? Do I need it?

A
CMS stands for ‘Content management system’. A CMS website is basically easier to update (more or less depending on the CMS program used) than a regular website. There are several content management systems out there, WordPress being the most popular one owing to its use-friendly interface and countless features.

If you plan on keeping your website updated yourself or by a non-technical person, you can go for a CMS website. If not, you can opt for a regular website and get a yearly contract with the designing company for updates. In this case, you do not have to worry about maintenance or support for the website at your end.

QWhat’s better for SEO? WordPress or a HTML website?

A
This is probably the most commonly asked question. In theory, Google sees no difference between HTML websites & WordPress websites when it comes to their rank. However, WordPress websites do seem to outrank HTML websites most of the time. The reason behind this I guess is that since WordPress is an easy-to-use SEO-friendly blogging platform, usually WordPress sites are updated more regularly than html sites. Search engines that are looking for new content every second, are therefore likely to favor the sites that have fresh content.
